Have you ever imagined a bus stop so cozy that you would even wish your bus were delayed? In Krucemburk, Czech Republic, you can find just that. This bus stop is designed like a typical living room in the area, complete with a table, pictures on the wall, and even a shelf full of books to ensure you’re never bored while waiting for the bus. What more could you ask for?
The makeover happened because the old bus stop was in bad condition. Local authorities needed to reconstruct it, so they asked an architect for help. He came up with the original idea to make the bus stop resemble a typical living room in the area. Reconstruction work, costing around 170,000 CZK, was completed in 2016-2017. Today, we can see the result: a cozy space furnished with a table, chairs, and benches. Books, pictures, and various decorations add to its charm, transforming it into more than just a bus stop. It has become a place where locals can not only wait for the bus but also meet up and spend time.
