There is a stream in Peruc Municipality, Czech Republic, inhabited by cute wooden creatures – grandpa, grandma, storks, and more. As if their charm wasn’t sufficient reason to visit this place, some of these sculptures look as if they were alive since they move. How is this even possible, given that these are just a few pieces of wood? Let’s have a closer look to solve this secret.
Since the most incredible thing about this place is the movement of the sculptures, there’s nothing better than video to show its vibe, so let’s take a quick virtual tour.
This place is basically a bridge surrounded by a few wooden sculptures.
The bridge seen from different angles.
The most impressive ones are sculptures of grandpa and grandma, which move as the force of the water’s movement drives the blades of the wheel located in the stream.
A closer look at the mechanism.
A warm message to grandpa and grandma. Most likely, the sculptures were temporarily gone, and whoever wrote this message is happy that they are already back and wishes them a nice time.
A couple more sculptures can be found on the other side of the bridge – storks, which also move as the water of the stream flows.
There are even more wooden sculptures nearby, and even a table as well as benches.
Whoever created these artworks did a great job. While these sculptures are already nice just because of their details, the artist went a step further and combined them with the force of water, turning them into unique environmental art.
