Memento Mori. A Decaying Family Chapel [Moldova]

A decaying family chapel on the cemetery in one of the big cities in Moldova appeared to be much more impressive than it seemed to be at first sight. It was definitely worth to enter the old graveyard and follow the track leading to a significantly bitten by time building.

Hidden Behind the Vines. Inside a Decaying Village House [Poland]

Just another decaying village house situated somewhere in Poland. Not much was left inside apart from one messy but still fully furnished room. After seeing village houses usually abandoned since dozens of years and furnished in an old fashioned way, a real surprise was to enter one with a few relatively modern details inside and taken over by decay quite recently. A Creepy Doll Lives Here. An Abandoned House on the Snowy Hill [Poland]

It was a dusky December afternoon. The sun was getting closer to the horizon painting everything with dark shades and that day’s trip to South-eastern Poland was going to the end. However, a small abandoned house on the hill near the road made us stop and have a look inside. Quite cosy at first sight and bright from the outside, mainly because of its white walls, it had a completely different, gloomy atmosphere behind its decaying doors.

The Dusty Greenness. An Abandoned Manor House in the Park [Lithuania]

An abandoned manor house surrounded by a beautiful park is probably the most famous site in a small village in Lithuania where it is situated. As it often happens when decay takes over the place, the building is empty and grey inside. However, there’re still a few beautiful details inside taking breath away despite the poor condition of the building.

An Abandoned Church on the Hill. One More Story of Decay [Czech Republic]

It was a gloomy day and better weather would definitely make a trip nicer, especially as it was a long walk through villages and areas which can be simply named as the middle of nowhere. However, after reaching the place it appeared that the grey sky perfectly filled the scenery where the final destination of the journey was situated. This place was an old decaying church on the hill, still carefully covered with greyness, so common for the beginning of spring, and together with the colourless clouds making this site even a bit frightening.

The Magic of Faded Frescoes. An Abandoned Manor House [Poland]

It was a completely accidental find and definitely the most impressive place seen on that trip to Southern Poland. Thus it’s worth to have a closer look on what’s hiding behind its walls.

The Abandoned Chapel ‘The Little White Temple’ [Czech Republic]

It was the most ruined place I visited during that trip but it had some charm despite its poor condition. Trees growing on the roof as well as bare walls suggested that the building is falling into ruin and old wooden pews significally bitten by time let assume that the place had been abandoned for a long time. Despite that, it was still possible to stuck in this place for a while exploring this little abandoned temple and its overgrown surroundings.
